Desiree: I just spoke to my friend, Josie, and she informed me that she spoke to you. I am to understand, then, that we will be meeting this evening in front of the General Patton Museum in Chiriaco Summit, CA for me to take custody of Gabriel from you. I believe the itinerary is that we will be leaving here around 3:30 pm and should arrive in Chiriaco Summit somewhere between 7:00 - 8:00 pm (this does not take into account local traffic conditions). I request that you keep us apprised of any delays that you may encounter in transit and we will do the same for you. In transit you will be able to reach me at Liz's mobile at 310-***-****. Fox

Kristopher: Blythe is 146 miles from you and 230 miles from me. A difference of 84 additional miles for me. Chiriaco Summit is 213 miles from you and 163 miles from me. A difference of 50 additional miles for you. Clearly Blythe is much closer to you and farther from me. The exact middle would be 187 miles from either of us. Unfortunately there is nothing 187 miles from either of us. Chiriaco Summit is only 24 miles farther than the middle whereas Blythe is 43 miles from the middle. If you prefer we can meet at exactly 187 miles, on the side of the freeway but that doesn't seem entirely reasonable. You are not doing me any favors by returning Gabriel - you are making right what Desiree has done wrong. I should not have to put my friends out additionally because Desiree has taken Gabriel to Arizona. It seems the court agrees with me on this. Further, this is not your obligation anyway. If you're not comfortable with it you can always insist Desiree clean up her own mess. I don't see why I should have to go out of my way to make things easier for her anymore. I didn't make her take Gabriel to Arizona and I sure as hell didn't make her piss off the court. I mean no disrespect by this - I'm just fed up with her bullshit. She already agreed to meet at the General Patton Museum. Now, at the last minute I'm supposed to ask my friends to change their plans and drive an extra 50 miles (100 miles both ways)? We explained that Desiree has work obligations that she cannot abandon on a days notice. Her involvement at work requires her to participate in several conference calls and monitor her computer. In addition her car is not suitable for that long of a trip, and to prepare it would require another day or so to have it repaired. So that leaves me, and the cost of gas for my suv far outweighs the additional 30 miles for you. You're right, this isn't my obligation, I'm trying to reunite you with your son. Blythe is as far as I can afford to travel. I don't imagine you'd care if I ran out of gas and was stranded but I d like to avoid that.
