Okay, it's now official. I just spoke with one of the companies in Vancouver and they've made me an offer. So, I suppose this serves as my official request for your consent to take Gabriel to Vancouver. I'm under time constraints on this so if I don't receive your consent by Tuesday, October 9, 2012 then I will have to assume you oppose the move and I will have to present the request to the court. Alright. Then I will be requesting an ex parte hearing for the court's permission. I'll notify you prior to the hearing as required by California law. Would you oppose me and Gabriel relocating to Seattle, in the event I receive an offer from there? Have a great weekend. Fox

Okay, and what would be the basis for your opposition? As you probably know an objection must be based on something - you cannot object/oppose a request "just because". In case it's not obvious, the basis for my request to take Gabriel out of the state is financial necessity, and to better provide for his needs (financial and otherwise). Those are legitimate grounds which the court is not likely to disagree with. Also, bear in mind, the offer I received is for $90,000 a year which will significantly decrease your child support obligation - I can't fathom why you would oppose that. Thank you, Fox
