Motion for alternative service
Hello, Desiree! I wonder if you might email me a copy of the motion for alternative service you filed. I'm curious what the reason is you've provided for being unable to serve me according to the Rules of Civil Procedure, seeing as how you know my home and work addresses and my legal name. By the way, a while ago you UPS'ed me something but I wasn't home to sign for it so they left a notice that I had to pick it up, but the name on it was Richard Riess and all my ID says Patrick Fox so I wouldn't have been able to pick it up anyway. Thanks, Fox

Fox, As you have previously stated, you are not Richard Riess, and that person does not and has never existed. As such, I suppose this does not pertain to you. If you could please put me in touch with Richard Riess, I would appreciate it. I have a matter to discuss with him. Respectfully, Desiree

Re: Motion for alternative service
Good morning, Desiree. I'm sorry but I cannot accommodate your request to be put in touch with the Richard Riess, whose identity I had assumed in the early 90s and used until coming to Canada where they refused to allow me to continue using it, because, to the best of my knowledge, he is deceased. I presume, however, the matter to which you refer is our marriage, and your most recent petition for dissolution of such marriage. You may be able to argue that since I used the name Richard Riess on the marriage license, and that was not my legal name at the time, that the license was void - I believe the parties to a marriage license are required to provide their true, legal names. Then again, under California and U.S. law at that time, my use of the name Richard Riess did meet all legal requirements. It was only after the passing of the PATRIOT Act that the legal name requirements were changed. Nevertheless, I thank you for responding and for finally acknowledging that my name is actually Fox. Good evening. I just reviewed all of the emails I have sent you in the past 6 months and am unable to find one wherein I stated that Richard Riess never existed. The closest I can find is a statement that Richard Riess is not now, nor ever was, under the current laws of all relevant jurisdictions, my legal name. Anything more is your inference. Fox
