I don't expect you will actually read the article on emotions, but in the
event you do, I would be curious what your rebuttal would be.  In
particular, what would you say in opposition to Lazarus' cognitive theory?

Imagine how much more successful and effective you would be if you weren't
so completely at the mercy of your emotions (or what you think of as
emotions, anyway).  Imagine how much more you could accomplish if you were
able to discuss something - even something which might have very adverse
effects on your life - without freaking out and yelling and resorting to
throwing stupid, irrelevant accusations.
