Gabriel's demeanor when at home

I find it interesting that when Gabriel is at home (my place), or at Liz's place he's
relaxed, at ease, and forthright, but whenever I speak with him while he's at your
place he's very reserved, terse, very apprehensive.

I asked him about it and he said he hadn't noticed. Very curious, indeed.  Why do you
suppose that is?  What are you doing to him that when he's around you he's afraid to
be himself and to speak honestly and openly?

What kind of monster makes their children afraid to express themselves to their own
parents?  I guess if I really were filling his head with ideas that you're a monster
I wouldn't be too far off.
